How to prevent ruining/damaging your hair (before it gets worse)
A customer told me a few months ago that she feels something like this:
“My hair was always thick and healthy, but now it feels dry, breaks very easily, and I just do not know what I am not doing right.
I hear this story a lot in case you live in Dubai.
Hair may not like the weather here. Go out, and the heat strikes you. Entering the company, you spend hours in a strong air conditioner. Include frequent blow-drying, styling devices, and even hair coloring, and gradually, nearly imperceptibly, the hair begins to lose its strength.
The frustrating issue is that the majority of women believe that they have to undergo expensive procedures to repair it.
As a matter of fact, preventing hair damage often begins with altering some of the daily routines.
1. Be Gentle With Wet Hair
This is one of the largest errors that I see.
Hair is weakest when wet. However, lots of individuals rush to pick a brush and begin untying knots immediately after taking a shower.
I once saw a customer violently towel-brush her wet hair in the salon mirror when she was waiting to be attended to. You could have sworn that you heard snats.
2. Heat Styling Is Not the Problem, Excess Is.
Blow dryers, straighteners, curling irons… none of them are evil.
However, wearing them day after day without protection gradually dries your hair.
Most stylists in Dubai will explain the same: never forget to use a heat protectant. It is a minor measure, but it makes a shield that lessens the injuries from hot tools.
You should also attempt to give your hair a few rest days a week. Simple blow-dry breaks or natural styles can bring a significant difference in the long run.
3. Dubai Water Can Be Cruel on Hair.
Many people from Dubai are not aware of this.
Dubai water is usually rich in minerals, which may effect on the hair and scalp. Gradually, this accumulation may convert hair into a rough or dull one.
Clarifying shampoo, once every two weeks, can be used to get those minerals off and re-establish hair.
It does not have to be done frequently, but you must do it so as not to accumulate.
4. Tight Hairstyles Are Silently Toxic.
Slick ponytails and tight buns appear slick, particularly when it is hot. And to wear too frequently strains the roots.
Thinning around the hairline, I have heard women mention, was simply due to years of pulling hair back.
Loose styles will alleviate that tension. Your hairline will be a thank you later.
5. Your Hair Doesn’t require more products; it requires the correct ones.
The beauty shelves are packed with hopeful bottles, and it is simple to think that with more product on hand, everything will be better.
However, adding oils, serums, masks, sprays, and creams may, in fact, weigh hair down or build up.
A basic routine is normally effective:
a non-foaming shampoo, a moisturising conditioner, and a weekly treatment mask.
Healthy hair care does not have to be complex.
6. Look After Your Scalp.
The majority of the discussions regarding hair are centered on the hair, yet the scalp is the starting point.
When the scalp is dry or scaly or has some residue of the product, the hair that grows out of it will not be at its best.
Frequent scalp massages, adequate cleansing, and a few treatments, such as a hair spa, can maintain a balanced scalp.
It is a minor routine that promotes the health of the hair in the long term.
“One Honest Thought Before You Try the Next “Miracle” Product Hair damage rarely happens overnight. It usually builds slowly from daily habits — brushing too hard, styling too often, skipping nourishment, ignoring the scalp.”
